NEW YORK – Aaron Ruff, founder of Digby & Iona Jewelry, grew up in Maine, the son of a craftsman. Ruff began his career as a carpenter, but a class in jewelry-making soon convinced him that his calling was elsewhere. Fascinated with ancient relics and mysteries, Ruff turned his talents to creating jewelry inspired by everything from literature to history. Lending a playful quality to Digby & Iona jewelry designs are Ruff's fantasies of exploration. Our collection of Digby & Iona (named after two seaside towns in Nova Scotia) includes signet rings and bands featuring unconventional themes and hidden treasures.
