A miniature Ottoman locale of vibrant, domed buildings is frozen in time within the interior of the perfectly faceted pale, neutral amethyst of this one-of-a-kind Sevan Bicakci ring. Brilliantly imagined and perfectly executed, each golden-topped structure has been created by intaglio carving - a technique using reverse carving from the underside of the stone. Painstakingly painted to precision, the architecture is encased in the pale amethyst which is framed by an intricate setting of shimmering diamonds and blue sapphires. The oval composition is set upon a ring encrusted with more diamonds and larger sapphires. Mesmerizing in each and every intricate detail, it is almost as if tiny people could be inhabiting this world of perfection. This masterpiece is centered on a band of 24K gold and the smooth interior of the ring is 24K gold where Sevan has signed, dated, and numbered the piece.
